JETCO online store
An electrical materials catalogue for contractors
An online store for JETCO, a Jordanian supplier of electrical materials since 2003. The store is under development, and custom stores like it start at 1,200 JOD.
The JETCO online store is under development and not yet open to the public. JETCO has supplied electrical materials in Jordan since 2003, and Saree3 is building its online store. Custom stores like this one start at 1,200 JOD. This page describes the brief and what the store will do when it opens.
The brief
JETCO sells low voltage distribution equipment, power and low current cables, earthing and lightning protection, and cable management. Its main brands are Schneider Electric and A.N. Wallis, and most of its buyers are contractors and project purchasers. These buyers usually know exactly what they want, often by part number, and many of them read Arabic first. JETCO asked for a store where a buyer finds a part fast, checks its specifications, and either orders it or asks for a quote for a project.
What we are building
The store follows the same three-part structure as the CHI Jordan online store: a storefront, a commerce engine for products and orders, and a dashboard where the JETCO team runs the shop. Unlike most store projects, the catalogue arrived complete before work began, with a part number, a description and an image for every product, and Arabic names for most of them. That let the work focus on how contractors search and order instead of on collecting product data.
Key features planned for the JETCO online store
- Search by part number, product name or range.
- A catalogue directory that opens by trade, then by shelf, then by product range.
- A page for each product range, so a buyer who searches for a range name lands on the right page.
- Arabic product names, not only an Arabic menu around English titles.
- Technical specifications on every product page, with a simple compare option.
- A quote request for project quantities, next to the normal cart.
- Cash on delivery or card payment at checkout.
- Customer accounts with order history.
- A WhatsApp button that puts the product reference into the buyer's message.
How it will work for customers
A contractor types a part number, or opens the directory and narrows down by trade and range. The product page shows the brand, the reference, the specifications and the price. For a small order, they add items to the cart and pay by card or cash on delivery. For a project, they send a quote request with the quantities, and the JETCO team replies from the dashboard.
JETCO staff edit the home, about, brands and contact pages next to a live preview of the shop, in Arabic or English, on desktop or phone. Changes reach the public site only when they press publish, so a half-finished edit never goes live.
Stack
WordPress and WooCommerce run products, customers and orders in the background. The storefront and the team dashboard are custom built with Next.js, so the store loads fast and the team never has to work inside the standard WordPress admin.
What the client gets
After launch and final payment, JETCO owns the code, the design files and the accounts. The team manages products, prices, orders, quote requests and page content themselves. Our care plans for updates and fixes start at 80 JOD per month. Read more on our online store development page or see the rest of our portfolio.
