App development companies in Jordan:
how to choose one in 2026
Native or one codebase, what a first version needs, App Store and Google Play rules, and prices from 2,500 JOD for an iOS and Android app.
App development companies in Jordan quote from about 2,500 JOD for a first app on iOS and Android to more than 10,000 JOD for a platform with several apps. The gap is not only the price. It is what the quote includes, how the app is built, and who owns it afterwards. This guide covers what to ask an app development company in Jordan about the build approach, the first version, store publishing, timelines and maintenance. For a full cost breakdown, read our guide to app development cost in Jordan.
What an app development company should deliver
An app project is more than screens on a phone. A complete quote covers:
- The app for iPhone and Android
- An admin panel your team uses to manage users, content and orders
- The server and database behind the app
- Integrations such as payments, maps, verification codes and notifications
- Testing on real iPhone and Android devices
- Store listings on the App Store and Google Play, and handling the reviews
- The source code and all accounts, handed over to you
If a quote says only "the app", ask about the other six lines before you compare prices.
Native apps or one codebase with Flutter?
A native app is written twice: in Swift for iPhone and in Kotlin for Android. A cross-platform app is written once and runs on both. Flutter describes itself as an open-source framework for natively compiled, multi-platform apps, and React Native is another common choice. For most business apps in Jordan, one codebase is the sensible default.
| Point | Native apps (two codebases) | Cross-platform, such as Flutter (one codebase) |
|---|---|---|
| Programming work | Two separate apps, roughly double the work | One app for both systems |
| New features | Built twice, and the two versions can drift apart | Reach iPhone and Android at the same time |
| Device features | Full access to every device feature | Most features through ready plugins, native code where needed |
| Fits | Apps built around heavy device work, such as games or advanced camera features | Ordering, booking, membership, loyalty, field teams and store apps |
Ask the company which approach it proposes for your app and why. A company that gives the same answer for every app has not studied yours.
What a first version (MVP) should include
An MVP is the smallest app that real users can use to do the one thing that matters, such as booking, ordering or checking in. It should still feel finished. A typical first version includes:
- Sign-in by phone number or email
- The main flow from start to end, for example browse, order and pay
- Notifications for that flow
- A simple admin panel for your team
- Analytics to see how people use the app
- Account deletion inside the app, which Apple requires when users can create accounts
- A privacy policy and the store listing texts
Usually left for version two: chat, referral codes, detailed reports, extra user roles and integrations that are useful but not needed to prove the idea.
Write a one-page brief before you ask for quotes
Quotes are only comparable when every company prices the same thing. One page is enough:
- Who uses the app: customers, staff, drivers or managers
- The three to five things each user does, in order
- What your team must manage from the admin panel
- Systems the app must connect to, such as a payment gateway, an accounting system or your website
- Arabic, English or both
- Your launch target and budget range
Send the same page to every company. A company that replies with questions about your users has read the brief. A company that replies only with a price has not.

Store fees, servers, verification messages and maintenance come on top. They are listed in the next sections.
Publishing on the App Store and Google Play
| Item | Apple App Store | Google Play |
|---|---|---|
| Developer fee | 99 US dollars a year | 25 US dollars, paid once |
| Organisation account | Needs a legal entity, a D-U-N-S Number and a public website on your own domain | Available for companies |
| New personal account | Allowed | Accounts created after 13 November 2023 must run a closed test with at least 12 testers for 14 days before going live |
| Review time | Apple reviews at least 50% of submissions in under 24 hours and 90% in under 48 hours | Plan a few days in the schedule |
Three points that save weeks:
- Open the accounts in your company name, early. The D-U-N-S Number and Apple verification take time, so start in the first week of the project.
- Do not publish under the agency account. If the app sits in their account, you depend on them for every update.
- Build a real app, not a website in a frame. Apple guideline 4.2 asks apps to offer more than a repackaged website, and such apps are often rejected.
How long app development takes
- Proposal: screens, features, schedule and price in writing.
- Design: the main screens, revised until you approve them.
- Programming in stages: test builds on your phone through TestFlight on iPhone and a test track on Android.
- Testing: on real devices, with your team using the admin panel.
- Store review and launch: listings, screenshots, review and release.
Most apps take 6 to 14 weeks from approved design to store release. Platforms with several apps take longer.
Maintenance after launch
Apple and Google release new system versions every year and change their store rules often. The libraries inside the app also need updates. An app without maintenance usually starts to break within a year or two. Budget for a monthly maintenance plan, plus the server, verification messages and map usage, which grow with your users.
How to test an app the company has published
Install it from the store and use it for ten minutes. Does it open quickly? Is the Arabic text correct and right to left? Do buttons respond without delay? What happens on a weak connection? Then check the last update date on the store page. An app that has not been updated for years may no longer be looked after.

Where Saree3 fits among app development companies in Jordan
Saree3 builds iOS and Android apps from one codebase in Amman, and writes native code only where a feature needs it. A first app starts from 2,500 JOD, a full app with payments from 4,500 JOD and a multi-role app from 6,000 JOD. Most apps take 6 to 14 weeks. Every project starts with a written proposal within one business day, payment is 50% to start and 50% at launch, and the code and store accounts belong to the client after the final payment. Maintenance starts from 80 JOD a month.
Apps we built include the InterContinental Jordan Gourmet Club membership app, the Cash Dukkan point of sale app, the Ejar El Dar rental app, the Cubo home services app on Google Play and the App Store, and the Masar employee app for TechLine Factory. Details and prices are on our mobile app development page.
When an app is not the answer: if your customers only need to read about your services and contact you, a fast mobile website costs less and needs no store review.
