Programming companies in Jordan range from one-person freelancers to software houses with dozens of developers, and the price for the same project can differ by three times between them. A company website usually costs 700 to 2,500 JOD and a first app for iOS and Android 2,500 to 5,000 JOD. This guide explains who does what, what each type costs, and how to check a company before you sign. It does not rank anyone. It gives you the questions, so you can judge any company yourself, including Saree3.

Types of programming companies in Jordan

Search for a programming company in Jordan and you will meet four kinds of providers. Each one fits a different project and budget.

Web and app companies

Small and mid-size teams that design and build websites, online stores, mobile apps and custom web systems for businesses. Design, programming, publishing and support come from one team. They suit a company website, a store, a booking system or an app with a clear scope.

Software houses

Larger companies that build big systems: ERP, accounting, banking, telecom and government software. Many sell their own products and adapt them for each client. They suit large organisations that run formal tenders and need long contracts and big teams. A small business may pay there for process it does not need.

Freelancers

Individual developers, in Jordan or on freelance platforms abroad. A good freelancer is fast and affordable for a small job with a clear brief. The risk is continuity. If they get busy, travel or take a full-time job, nobody else knows your code.

Offshore companies

Companies abroad that publish pages aimed at Jordan, often with hourly rates in US dollars. Some do good work. The risks are the time difference, the quality of the Arabic interface, a contract that is hard to enforce in Jordan, and nobody to meet in Amman when something breaks.

Why two quotes for the same project differ so much

  • One includes the admin panel, the server and store publishing. The other prices only the screens.
  • One is a custom design. The other is a template with your logo.
  • One includes testing on real devices, documentation and a bug warranty. The other does not mention them.
  • One is a fixed price. The other is an hourly estimate that can grow.

Put quotes side by side, line by line, before you compare the totals.

10 checks before you sign with a programming company

  1. A written scope. Screens, features, user roles, integrations, and a list of what is not included. If it is not written, it is not in the price.
  2. Live work you can test. Websites you can open and apps you can install from the App Store and Google Play. Screenshots prove nothing.
  3. A project like yours. A company that builds good websites may never have built a system with roles, permissions and reports. Ask for one similar project.
  4. Who writes the code. Their own team or a subcontractor? Ask to speak to the developer or technical lead, not only to sales.
  5. Where the code lives. Ask for access to a code repository, such as GitHub, in your company name, or at least a full copy at each milestone.
  6. A test version during the project. You should try the system on a test link or a test build on your phone before launch day.
  7. Accounts in your name. Domain, hosting, cloud, App Store, Google Play, payment gateway and email services.
  8. Bug warranty. How long after launch bugs are fixed at no cost, and what counts as a bug versus a new feature.
  9. Maintenance price. The monthly cost after the warranty ends, and exactly what it covers.
  10. Registration and invoices. A registered business that signs a contract and issues proper invoices. The next sections show how to verify it.

Red flags

  • A price in the first call, before anyone asks who uses the system and what they do
  • Full payment upfront, or a large payment with no deliverable attached
  • No live links, or apps that are no longer on the stores
  • The developer account, domain or server registered in the company name, not yours
  • Source code withheld, or offered only for an extra fee after the project
  • No test version until the very end
  • A long contract that locks you into their hosting or platform with no exit

Where to verify a programming company in Jordan

  • Registration. Companies in Jordan are registered with the Companies Control Department, which offers a free public search by company name, partner name or national number on ccd.gov.jo. Sole establishments are registered with the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply instead. Either way, ask for the registration certificate and check that the name matches the contract.
  • Google reviews. Read the reviews on their Google Business Profile, especially the negative ones and how the company replied.
  • GoodFirms and Clutch. International directories that publish client reviews. Few Jordanian companies have many reviews there, so treat them as one signal among several.
  • Live work. Open their websites, install their apps, and check the store pages, which show the publisher of each app.
  • A past client. Ask for one reference with a project like yours, and call them.

Contract essentials for a software project

Keep the contract short and specific. These clauses protect you most:

ClauseWhat it should say
Scope annexThe screens, features and user roles, attached to the contract
MilestonesEach payment tied to something you can see: approved designs, a test build, launch
OwnershipThe code, design files and data belong to you after the final payment
Source codeDelivered in full with setup notes, so another team can continue the work
Paid servicesWhich outside services the system uses, such as maps, SMS or hosting, and who pays for them
Warranty and supportThe bug-fix period after launch and the monthly maintenance price
Change requestsHow new features are priced and approved, in writing
ExitWhat you receive if the project stops halfway

If your system stores customer names, phone numbers or other personal data, Jordan's Personal Data Protection Law No. 24 of 2023 applies. Ask the company where the data is stored and who can access it, and ask a lawyer about your own duties.

When Saree3 is not the right fit

  • Budgets under 350 JOD. A freelancer or a template package fits better.
  • Monthly SEO retainers or ad management. We do not sell them.
  • A need that a ready product already covers, such as accounting software or a point of sale. A subscription costs less than custom code, and we will tell you so.
